Jim has been in the film business for over 20 years and been involved in various capacities with over 300 films. He has served in senior executive capacities at companies including, Working Title Films, LIVE Entertainment Artisan, Hemdale Films and Reliance where he has been involved in films like: RESERVOIR DOGS, USUAL SUSPECT, TERMINATOR, LAST EMPEROR, FOUR WEDDINGS & A FUNERAL, AND LITTLE ODESSA. In 2016 Steele Produced and Executive Produced urban horror tale THE CRIB (starring Vivica Fox, Jay Mohr and Clarence Williams the III, OFFICE UPRISING with Desmond Thwaites and Jane Levy and NOSTALGIA with John Hamm, Bruce Dern and Ellen Burstyn. Other Producing credits include: Charlie Sheen’s THE ARRIVAL, Mario Van Peebles black western POSSE, Tom Berenger’s THE SUBSTITUTE, Rene Zellweger’s LOVE & A 45, GENERATION P, WHICH THE HUFFINGTON POST CALLED ONE OF THE TOP 10 FILMS OF 2012. Steele currently consults to several film funds and is also considered one of the foremost experts in digital cinema, attributed with building the first digital cinema network in the world.
